Los Angeles Airport
2012
The Bradley West Gates Construction Concourse Project (CCP2) is an integral part of the LAX Master Plan Program at the Los Angeles International Airport (LAX), one of Los Angeles’ largest public works projects in history at an estimated $1.5 billion. The project will consist of our grade crews working on mass excavation, grading, and shoring of the North and South Concourse along with demolition of existing concourses and utilities. Our underground crews face the challenge of installing new sewer, fire and domestic water, and storm drain lines in a tangle of existing utilities. Our structure team will construct the new bridge foundation work for the anticipated new gates on the west side of the Tom Bradley International Terminal that will accommodate the new generation Airbus A380’s and Boeing B878’s. The project team faces the everyday challenge of working alongside multiple other contractors within this 500,000 SF project. Our crews work long hours, including nights and weekends, and must remain vigilant and safe when working around airplanes and passenger buses. High security, coordination, communication, teamwork, and safety are the keys to project success.
